An Advantage of using digital media in preschool is that it can help children learn social media skills early, which is crucial for adapting in the modern world. Early exposure allows them to integrate into their social environment, develop their personality, and avoid feelings of insecurity or exclusion. Furthermore by using digital media in preschool there is opportunity to teach children about media literacy. By understanding what they see, hear, and explore, children can develop a deeper comprehension of digital content.  On the other side the usage of digital Media in pre school includes also negative aspects.

Introducing digital media in preschool may impact children's attention spans. At a young age, children struggle to focus on multiple stimuli. Excessive screen use can shift their attention away from their surroundings, prioritizing the digital world over their environment. In extreme cases, this could lead to reduced engagement with their surroundings and potential screen addiction. [ MLL,2025] 

Another disadvantage of using digital media in preschool is that children may become more accustomed to digital communication and fail to develop essential social communication skills. These skills are crucial for building meaningful relationships and are a key part of a child's development. If children primarily interact in the digital world, they might miss out on learning how to engage socially in real-life situations. The right way of teaching about digital Media in preschool is very individual and depends on diffrent factors.  In my opinion is important that children have time to think about  on their consum of digital Media and then to have the possibility to talk with person they trust about their usage.
