- Digital media in preschool offers a mix of advantages and disadvantages. On the positive side, it can make learning interactive and engaging by using colors, sounds, and movement which helps children grasp new concepts better. Educational apps and videos can teach kids important skills like numbers, letters, and problem-solving, while touchscreens can improve fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Digital tools also encourage creativity, allowing kids to draw, create music, and explore their imagination. However, excessive screen time can lead to health issues such as poor eyesight, lack of physical activity, and sleep problems. Overusing digital media may also limit social interactions and reduce opportunities for children to connect with their peers. There's also the risk of addiction, with some children becoming overly attached to screens. Additionally, not all digital content is educational or age-appropriate, so parents and teachers need to monitor what children are exposed to. Finally, while digital media offers many benefits, it cannot replace the hands-on learning experiences that come from playing with toys, painting, or engaging in outdoor activities. Balancing screen time with traditional play is key to providing children with a well-rounded education.

I like your way of thinking about what is the right way of a responsible use of digital Media. I belive the usage of digital Media for Media Literacy should strike a balance between learning through it by digital Media tools and learn about it by traditional role play. Children should get aware of digital Media but also should have oppurtunities to r to have time off to reflekt about their usage of digital Media.
